Professor Flora Josiane CHADARE, is Full Professor in Food Science and Nutrition, and Dean of School of Science and Techniques for Preservation and Processing of Agricultural Products, Coordinator of doctoral training in Food Science and Nutrition at National University of Agriculture (Université Nationale d’Agriculture) (UNA), Benin Republic. With a particular focus on entrepreneurship and community engagement, she has expertise in food product development, food fortification to improve nutrition focusing on endogenous and non-timber forest products, using environment friendly techniques for resilient and sustainable food systems. She co-authors several publications in peer review journals, books, technical documents, and one web application ‪Flora Josiane Chadare - ‪Google Scholar‬‬. Prof. Chadare has participated in several individual and collaborative rojects as local coordinator,Prof Chadare have attended several conferences/scientific/strategic meetings in Africa, Europe, Asia, USA and middle East. She has successfully supervised more than 50 Bachelor, 20 Master, 2 PhD who graduated & 3 registered, and is coaching 5 startups.  She belongs to 5 scientific research networks and consultative groups. She won 3 international awards namely the storm van der chijs award in 2008, the Japanese award for outstanding research on development of the Global Development Network (second price) in 2015 and the Award for Women in Science for the academic year 2019-2020 (first price) awarded by the next Einstein forum. Prof Chadare is the gender focal point and Ruforum focal point at UNA.
