Climate adaptation
This outcome has one key activity focus to strengthen universities and other research institutions to co-create and incubate climate smart approaches in agriculture (innovations, technologies and management practices-TIMPs). It seeks to strengthen the adaptive capacity of African agricultural systems to mitigate the effects of climate weather variability and change.
This outcome will be achieved through delivery of three integrated intermediate outcomes i.e.,
(a) Smallholder farmers access and utilize climate adaptive technologies, innovations and management practices and
(b) Young women and men meaningfully participate in advancing climate change mitigation and adaptation agenda and
(c) Young women and men equitably and meaningfully engage and benefit from agriculture and create work opportunities for others
